Dolphins and Sharks-
This game is great for pool parties where there are pods of friends and family. One persons is chosen to be the “Shark” an all other players therefore become dolphins. The “Shark” makes their way to the middle of the pool and all the other players the “dolphins” line up on one side of the pool. When the shark yells, “GO!” all the “Dolphins” swim their hardest across the pool doing their best to not get caught by the “Shark”. If a “Dolphin” gets caught by the “Shark” they become a “Shark” and join them in the middle of the pool for the next round. Then so on and so forth until every “Dolphin” has been caught by the ever growing pod of “Sharks”. This game is great for swimming classes or parties; simple and easy for any age!
Atomic Whirlpool-
This game is fantastic for teaching kids about science and/or currents. Atomic Whirlpool is a pool game made for multiple people. It starts by having everyone equally spaced across the pool, then at the same time everyone begins to walk/swim around the pool in the same direction. After a few minutes or laps around the pool, everyone then begins to jog around the pool. As everyone jogs/swims faster the water in the pool will begin to flow the same way. Again, after jogging around the pool for a few minutes/laps in unison everyone will begin to run/swim around the pool. This causes the water in the pool to flow in the same direction even stronger and after a few minutes/laps have everyone stop swimming and let the current they’ve created carry them. Next have everyone turn and try swimming the other way. If everything was done correctly then the current will have become so strong that it will be nearly impossible swim against it. This pool game is a fabulous science lesson!

Colors-
This game is great for younger kids but is also fun at any age. This game is to be played with multiple players. One person is chosen to be “It” and stands near the edge of the pool with their back turned and the other players line up in the pool on the same side as the person who is “It”. After everyone is in the proper place each player chooses a color and keeps it in their mind. The person who is “It” then yells out colors and when/if the color is called that the other players have chosen then that player has to quietly swim across the pool without being heard. If the person who is “It” hears the player swimming across the pool they turn around and jump into the pool and swim after that player. If the player makes it to the other side of the pool then they’re safe; but if the person who is “It” catches the player then that player becomes “It”. Then the game starts all over. This game can be played in a multitude of categories such as: Gems, Shapes, Sports, Countries, or Foods. Any category that comes to mind can be applied to this game.
